After several years as the Director of Water Polo Canada and Team Manager at the 1984 Olympics, John went on to a long and successful career in technology that included positions in Vancouver, Hong Kong, Boston and Toronto. John graduated from McMaster University where he was captain of the swim and water polo teams and earned a Bachelor of Science degree. John leaves behind his sisters, Jane Crouch (Tim) and Jennifer MacMaster and nieces and nephew Danica, Keiran and Sinaed Crouch and Emily MacMaster - who will dearly miss their uncle. John, the ever loving and very proud father, is survived by his wife Diana Compton and their children Reid and Alexandra MacMaster. His proud parents George and Virginia MacMaster, predeceased, would have been so proud at his exemplary life.
